2007 comedy-drama Juno introduced the world of Ellen Page. The Canadian actress earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress with her portrayal of the title character. “I was excited about this character because I felt like it was a teenage female lead that we’ve just never seen before,” Page told Collider. “Although she was incredibly unique and witty and all of these things, she was also very genuine and it all felt just very sincere.” Juno exited the box office with $231.4 million against a $7.5 million budget.
