Benefits of ISO Registration

ISO registration can open doors for additional sales opportunities.  Being ISO registered demonstrates that your company’s quality management system is a consistent and reliable process.  Many companies looking for potential suppliers will first look so see whether or not a company is ISO registered.   It gives them assurance and confidence in that supplier.

Many companies initially go for ISO as a marketing tool, if they are not required to do it by a supplier.  Other companies ask – can I use this as a marketing tool?  Will this help me market in the United States or overseas?  The answer is yes it will.  Once you start developing your system, manual and procedures, and you’ve trained people to do internal audits and are doing management reviews, you may find redundancies in your processes, or you may find that you can have a clear communication line from the bottom person up to the top.  This is a great way to get some really good information, to streamline your processes, become more cost effective, and a lot more efficient.  This is where the REAL VALUE is.

Potential customers will know that through effective and efficient management of your system you are assuring them that they get a quality product.  It’s going to open up more doors for potential customers because they are going to understand what you’re doing.  Some companies will not even look at clients or other companies unless they are ISO registered.  It’s similar to the idea that, in the job market, a lot of companies won’t look at a candidate unless they have a college degree.  In this case your ISO certificate is your degree.

ISO Registration shows your company has invested time in developing a documented system focusing on consistency, reliability, and to improve the way your business operates.  It focuses on process, the customer, and improvement.
