Article submission is simple a written article about a specific area within your niche that is of interest to other reader. This article can be written by you, a ghost writer (via outsourcing), Spoken word, such as Dragon natural speaking or by recording your voice and sending the MP3 off to get transcribed. Except for writing the articles your self, all of these will cost you money in one way or another. So you will need to weigh up Cost VS Time and find out which one is better suited for you.
Distributing & Syndicating:
Once you have a well crafted article (about 500-600 words long) that will be of interest to other readers, you can then go about getting your article out there for all to read. The most common places that authors will first post there articles, are on their own websites and blogs. But, You can also distribute or syndicate the article to as many article directories as you can find. There are literally hundreds of article directories out there, and you want to be on them ALL!
Article Directories.
There are many reason that you would want to post your articles on as
many articles directories as posable. Here are the main
reasons:
1 - BACK LINKS.
By submitting your articles to the directories, you have access to an
authors box. The authors box allows you to have a link back to your
website. If you know anything about SEO, then you will know the
importance of one way links. Links that come into your website from
other websites with a high page ranking are extremely valuable to your
position in Google and the other search engines. The great thing about
most of the established article directories is that, not only do they
have high PR, but Google also loves them. So, not only will your main
website or blog get a high boost, but you'll also have a greater
chance of your article appearing high up in the search engine
listing.
To make the most of your back link, always create keyword rich anchor text. This is the text that appears with in the link it's self. For example - Most links say 'Click Here'. Click Here is called the anchor text. To maximize on this, you should have a phrase that is highly relevant to your website and will also get typed into the search engines.
2 - CALL TO ACTION
A few year back, no one was using this technique. However,
the more time has gone on, the more authors have become a-wear. I'm
talking about utilizing the authors box to drive a stampede of traffic
to your website. First of all, the old way of using the authors box
was to write a bit about yourself - Your name - Job - Hobby etc. But
now! all of the savvy authors are writing a call to action line. The
call to action line is there to encourage reader to visit there
website. For example:
I write articles on lead
generation & internet marketing. There fore I offer an incentive
for readers to visit my website. By offering free Ebooks and killer
secrets I get a high percentage of readers that will take me up on my
offer and claim their free gifts. This way, I get traffic to my
website, and the readers get free gifts. Its a win win for everyone.
Always offer something of interest to your readers!
