Eva Longoria star of "Desperate Housewives" signs deal with OK! for 2 million for exclusive wedding photography deal for her spectacular wedding in France

Most brides just have to worry about who they are going to have take their wedding pictures, but Eva Longoria who plays Gabrielle in "Desperate Housewives" and fiance Tony Parker who plays basketball for the San Antonio Spurs also had to decide the important question of who would get the rights to publish their photos. The biggest bidders for the exclusive rights to wedding coverage were People magazine and OK!. OK! won the bid by offering $2 million dollars. Apparently it was entirely a matter of money, right up to the final negotiation. OK! editor-in-chief Sara Ivens said: "These were obviously highly coveted photos, and we were thrilled to negotiate the exclusive rights. Covering great moments with the celebrities that we love is what the magazine is all about." People magazine is said to be miffed about missing out on the much sought-after deal. Editors at People magazine broke the story of their wedding and were working hard with Eva Longoria's representatives to secure the picture rights and were upset about losing the deal. It is claimed that their coverage of the couple's reported break-up did not influence Eva's decision. Another source said: "Everyone knows OK! would pay a lot for them." The couple reportedly took a helicopter from Paris to Normandy and visited Mont Saint Michel, where they dined at romantic restaurant La MMre Poularde. The couple flew back to Paris the following morning and spent Wednesday partying with family and friends at Disneyland Paris. Celebrities guests included Longoria's Desperate Housewives cast mates, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jamie Foxx, Lopez and Parker's San Antonio Spurs team mates. Fellow "housewives" Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Nicolette Sheridan reportedly arrived Friday at Paris' Bourget airport in a private jet. Marcia Cross, who stars in the series as Bree and recently gave birth to twins, is not expected to attend the wedding. The couple are getting married at Eglise Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois, a church just opposite the Louvre, followed by an over-the-top french chateau wedding reception at Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte southeast of Paris. A horde of security guards has been contracted to patrol the 12 kilometre 8 foot high stone wall around the perimeter of the chateau and a local road has been closed to keep prying fans away. You do not have to be a rich and famous to get married in France. Any one can rent a castle and have their very own fairytale french wedding.
