The creation of the IC or the Integrated Circuit has brought about a revolution in the world of electronics. Complex circuitry is now reduced into a minute chip that can hardly be seen in the naked eyes. The major advantage of this IC is the cost and performance. A circuit with a huge number of transistor, capacitors, and resistors are now being replaced by the semiconductor ICs which perform with much higher stability over a high range of temperature and voltage ranges. Some of the best examples for IC’s are the op-amps, microprocessors, microcontrollers, timers, etc. The best examples of the IC’s that are in high demand are 555 IC timers, 741 operational amplifier, the Intel microprocessor, and 8051 series of microcontroller.

There are different types of IC’s that can be broadly classified on the type of signal used to process as Analog, Digital or Mixed. The contents of the IC may scale from a few transistors to millions of transistors, flip-flops and many other digital components. The main component in an Integrated Circuit chip is the Transistor. Depending on the number of transistors that are placed in an IC, they are classified as SSI (Small Scale Integration), MSI (Medium Scale Integration), LSI (Large Scale Integration), VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) and ULSI (Ultra Large Scale Integration). With the advent of better technology, more and more transistors are being able to fit into the circuit. Some of the milestones achieved due to the advent of the IC technology are: 1. Microprocessors and microcontrollers. 2. Timers, switches, logical gates 3. Attenuators, Amplifiers Many of these IC’s are very rare and unavailable in the market. These IC’s can be found easily at the usbid.com. You can place an order to these IC’s and quote your price. You need to register before you proceed to place an order, usbid.com have 35 million plus lines of inventory.
